non-governmental, 501c Pet Rescue group in rural Vermont. Lisa Haynes, founder/director of
the all breed rescue in Huntington, Vermont, called SAVE OUR STRAYS (S.O.S.),
has released a cookbook to benefit her organization. Since 1993 Lisa and family
have been helping to rescue, care for, and adopt animals in Chittenden County.
The proceeds from the sale of "Treasured Recipes for Your Treasured Pet" will
help defray the ever-mounting costs, primarily medical care, which come with
rescuing animals in need. What is unique about this cookbook? Not only are the
proceeds for the animals, but the recipes are for the animals as well. This
pet food cookbook of over 90 recipes is professionally illustrated and printed
and has received favorable reviews by several national pet magazines.
